dedicated to that someone special =) I was posted this question: What will you choose, a soulmate or a million bucks? To me, the answer was clear. Nothing beats a close friendship. However, that does not seem to be the choice for most. What's yours?
Have been wanting to update on my recent activities, to keeptrack, but have been real busy to do so. Training, bday party, n bbq~ Jap exam tmr. i'm worried sick.

One of the benefits of having worked in Paris Miki, besides receiving free trial contact lenses and invitations to products launch parties with nice food and goody bags, is being sponsored for movie. Thanks to the courtesy of Baush&Lomb, I saved $9.50 today. Watched Pirates of the Caribbean – At World’s End with at least a hundred other people, on the very first day of its official screening. Nice =) On top of that, food and beverages were provided - McDonald burgers, large packet of Lays potato chips and cans of coke. Generous, they are. (though I suspect it might be a conspiracy to burden us with high calories =X) I thought this would be the last of the sequel but after seeing the ending, a fourth sequel seems highly promising. There was not a second that I was bored while watching this film. It was highly entertaining and adventurous. 绝无冷场! Although I do have a tiny complain regarding the ending but I shan’t spill any spoiler. Perrrfect timing for a for free movie as I’m broke.

My precious, albeit shabby fan broke down last night, shattering into parts. It has been faulty for some time now but managed to serve me fine till yesterday. After hitting the [on] button several times, it refused to budge the slightest. I tried to tilt the head (the fan’s, not mine duh) in different directions hoping it will start to function but to no avail. Out of irritation, I smashed the fan and it fell. Sigh. I’m really not used to sleeping in air-conditioned room. Couldn’t get a good rest. Mom wanted to prove herself worthy by fixing the broken fan. Well, she did succeed. Yay for me! I received a pleasant surprise when I stepped into my room and the fan was beaming proudly at me. It was a shock. Not because it is now working perfectly fine (even better than before, I must say) but because it looks brand new. It is shiny! For a moment I thought a Genie must have answered my wish for a new fan. I’ve not cleaned my fan for the longest time. The dust that accumulated was thick enough to resemble a fur carpet (yes, u must be screwing up ur face with utmost disgust at this). Thanks to the fall, my fan is now sparkling clean because Mom couldn’t stand the dust and cleaned it for me. 因祸得福 a blessing in disguise. Thanks Mom. =)

I adore all things slim and light. I practically worship them. And I’m not talking about objects that are small in size. It doesn’t matter to me whether the gadget has minimal functions or its technology used has been outdated. As long as it is slim, I love it all the same.

A man was walkin along a beach when he stumbled upon an old lamp.
He picked it up and rubbed it, and out POPped a genie.
The genie said, "you released mi from the lamp, im gettin a little sick of these wishes so you can forget abt 3... you'll onli get 1 wish."
The man tot abt it for awhile and said, "i've always wanted to go to Hawaii, but i m scared to fly. Could you build mi a bridge to Hawaii so i can drive over there to visit?"
The genie lauffed and said, "tat's impossible! how would the supports ever reach the bottom of the Pacific? No, tink of another wish."
So, the man tot hard and finally said, "i've been married and divorced 4 times. my wives said tat i dun care and i'm insensitive."
"So, i wish tat i could understand women, know how they feel inside. Know why they're cryin, know wat they realli wan when they sae 'nth', know how to make them truly happie."
the genie said, "do you wan tat bridge to be 2 lanes or 4?"

Weilin's wedding turned out to be a Paris Miki company dinner. The difference the two is that at the latter u don't get to meet ex-staff but there's lucky draw(with attractive prizes, no less). Almost half the tables were devoted to Paris Miki, so we sort of dominated the ballroom(?!). Saw soo many familiar faces just now, even those who left the company earlier than me turned up. That kinda brings back memories. I miss the days at Tampines and Parco! =`(
Speaking of working-cum-studying, i would encourage young people to take up stable part time jobs while studying only if you can handle. The experience which you will gain is priceless. Only after you graduate will you learn to fully appreciate the advantages, because not only does it reflect better on your resume, it also prepares you for the 'real world' and boost up your confidence by folds. However, choosing the right job is important. I am very glad that i had a chance to work in Paris Miki. They are very accomodating of my schedules and childishness wahaha. I've learned loads at that place and i'll remember those helpful souls who guided me along the way. Paris Miki places great emphasis on good customer service, so i'm trained to interact with people and through this i realised i actually like meeting new faces. I used to be a little of an introvert. It's amazing what a complete stranger might say to you and sometimes we chatted like old pals. Oh, i've met country representatives from IMF(International Monetary Fund) too! They're funny people, those foreigners! (also extrememly loaded and friendly) I cannot say that working and stuyding at the same time was a breeze for me, but at least i managed to graduate with average results. =\ Most importantly, rank your priorities correctly and work on time management. All in all, it was a good character-building experience.
Anyways, back to the wedding. Took photographs with ex-colleagues, had my share of fun, was happy, wish i'd brought a recorder along because everyone asked what i am doing now. Wedding angpow is a killer, my wallet just shrank by another half. If it get any smaller, it might just vapourise into nothingness. But i got my incentive, which is to see Kono-san, after so long. Sigh, i'm hopeless with japanese men.

This post is to remind myself (and fellow party freaks) the horrible feeling of alcohol churning in the stomach. intoxication, urgh!
And i would like to recommend the movie [200 Pounds Beauty]! i believe it is still screening in the cinemas(not for long though!). I know, i know, it seems like a mediocre comedy. But trust me, this is one film that will bring you laughters and tears. Those who have a tight wallet can watch it here. And those who haven't already, go catch it now! =D i love the OST too, sigh.
Spiderman3 kept me on the edge of my seat. The action made up for the lack of storyline. i liked it.
my mom is an emo kid.
